How
do you drop an animated rat into a real vat of milk? Very carefully,
says Assistant Professor Raquel Coelho, whose animation skills
brought Templeton the rat to life in "Charlotte's Web."
"Wet fur is difficult," she says. "This was a very
challenging scene. It required a lot of people with different
skills -- technicians, programmers, artists."

how it's done.

A

An animated fluid creation placed atop the image of the milk.

animated rat as he would appear

end result: Templeton falls into
the milk.
