"Chasing
the Lotus," a documentary from filmmaker Greg Schell (M.F.A.,
'01),
focuses on underground filmmakers Greg Weaver and Spyder
Wills, who documented "surf discovery" -- the location of
new waves to ride in remote locations around the world. The film, playing
at San Francisco's Red
Vic
Movie House Jan. 11-14, offers footage and photo stills
from the 1970s, contemporary interviews, and narration by actor Jeff
Bridges.

of performers David Owen(B.A. '99), Janet
Varney
(attended '97-'00; '02) and Cole Stratton
(B.A., '00), who met at SF State.
