Class Notes '50s After a successful 35-year career teaching music, Dalt Williams(B.A., '59) enjoys performing with his jazz quartet at festivals, clubs, community events and other venues throughout Northern California. '70s Russell Kusama(M.A., '71) operates the Davis-based Progress Ranch Treatment Services for Children, which provides residential treatment for emotionally disturbed boys between the ages of 6 and 10. Anthony Taormina(B.A., '72) has been named director of the Port of Tacoma's Automobile Line of Business. Faith L. Duncan(B.A.,'73) received the National Association for Interpretation's 2003 President's Award for Excellence for her contributions to environmental education and interpretation. She works for the USDA Forest Service in Alaska's Tongass National Forest. Her poetry and prose have appeared in two literary journals, Inside Passages and Alaska Women Write. '80s Katherine Thomas (Knight) (B.A., '86) and Stephen Dick (M.A., '87) have received a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Culture to present a concert celebrating the work of composers Manuel De Falla and Federico Garcia Lorca. Christopher Cline (B.A., '87) has joined Holland & Knight's Portland office as a partner in the private wealth services section. Included among "The Best Lawyers in America," Cline was previously a partner with Lane Powell Spears Lubersky LLP. Angie Gonzalez(B.A., '89), an English teacher at Phillip and Sala Burton High School in San Francisco, was one of four teachers in California to receive the Milken Family Foundation's National Educator Award. '90s Henry Lee (B.A., '92) has been named an associate at both Auerbach Pollock Friedlander, performing arts/media facilities planning and design, and Auerbach Glasgow, architectural lighting design and consulting. Toni Graham's (M.A., '92; M.F.A., '96) second collection of short stories, "Waiting for Elvis" (Leapfrog Press, 2005), will be published in February. Arnaldo Lopez (B.S., '93) is a systems engineering manager for sales at Cisco Systems in Pleasanton. A frequent speaker at local schools, he enjoys inspiring young Latinos to set high goals for their future careers. Jim Simon (M.B.A., '94) is the director of marketing, Asia-Pacific, for Quantum Corporation, a San Jose-based company specializing in the backup, archiving and recovery of computer data. He works in Quantum's Singapore office. '00s T. Thorn Coyle(B.A., '03), a musician, dancer, activist, poet and teacher, has just published "Evolutionary Witchcraft" (Jeremy P. Tarcher/Penguin, 2004).
